Salesforce Audience Sync

Orchestrate your email campaigns in Data Platform and send the emails via Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

OVERVIEW

The Salesforce marketing cloud audience sync app allows you to sync your ODP segments and data to SFMC data extensions for campaign targeting and personalization.

CONFIGURATION

Within your Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account:

  1. Click your username in the top right and select ‘SETUP’
  2. Click APPS on the left and select INSTALLED PACKAGES
  3. Click NEW in the top right -> Name your Package ‘ODP Audience Sync’ -> click SAVE
  4. Within your installed package click ADD COMPONENT in the middle of the screen
  5. Select API INTEGRATION and click NEXT
  6. Select SERVER TO SERVER as your integration type and click NEXT
  7. Within Scope Access make the following selections:
    • Data Extensions: Read, Write
    • Accounts: Read
  8. Click SAVE
  9. Now click the ACCESS tab in the top left (next to DETAILS)
  10. Enable the business units you’d like the app to be able to target for your ODP account here and click SAVE
  11. Click back into the DETAILS section and keep this window open because you will need information from it for the next steps in ODP.

Within your ODP Account:

  1. Click the ‘Install’ button in the top left of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Audience Sync App
  2. Click on the SETTINGS tab next to the OVERVIEW tab
  3. Input the required fields using the corresponding values from the component you created for the Installed package. Your account ID can be found by clicking your account name in the top right, it is the number next to the account name.
