UK Government Approves Episerver as Official G-Cloud 7 Supplier
Episerver, the leading digital experience delivery platform, has secured a place on the UK government’s G-Cloud 7 procurement framework. The listing on the Digital Marketplace allows Episerver to supply its Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions to government departments, local authorities and the wider public sector.
The UK government created the G-Cloud initiative to encourage the adoption of Cloud services across the entire public sector. It consists of a series of framework agreements with suppliers, allowing public sector organizations to quickly and easily purchase approved services from the government’s online Digital Marketplace.
Four Episerver services have been made available to public sector organizations through the G-Cloud 7 framework, including Episerver’s comprehensive Digital Experience Cloud offerings: Web Content Management system, digital commerce platform, a managed service for the Digital Experience Cloud, as well as the company’s big data search and navigation technology – Episerver Find.
Commenting on the announcement, Johan Jardevall, SVP EMEA Sales at Episerver, said: “Digital transformation is becoming critical to public sector organizations, as they look to streamline costs and develop new, improved services for citizens. Episerver has developed a strong portfolio of fully supported cloud solutions and our listing on G-Cloud 7 will ensure organizations right across the public sector can access the tools that will help drive their digital strategies.”
Episerver has worked with organizations throughout the public sector, including the Metropolitan Police and the Houses of Parliament. Earlier this year the company was also recognized as a leader in the 2015 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management for its Digital Experience Cloud platform.
