Karen Chastain of Episerver Recognized as One of CRN’s 2016 Women of the Channel
Chastain honored among women leaders with extraordinary expertise in content management
Episerver, a leading provider of digital marketing, content management and digital commerce solutions, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Karen Chastain, director of strategic alliances and global partners, to its prestigious 2016 Women of the Channel list.
Chastain has more than 15 years of experience in partner relationship management, strategic business planning and marketing. In her current role at Episerver, Chastain establishes and builds upon existing strategic alliances with top technology partners to broaden the technical engagement and expand go-to-market opportunities. She also oversees Episerver’s global channel of over 800 partners worldwide to create mutual value and business opportunity.
Prior to Episerver, she worked as a senior alliance manager at Epicor. Her long-standing relationship with Microsoft for over 13 years has qualified her as an expert in engaging with the company, enabling her to participate on several boards and marketing programs. Chastain is currently an active member in the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP) and their Women in Technology (WIT) community, participating on the leadership team for WIT at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC).
“It’s an honor to be named to a list that recognizes women in the industry who possess outstanding leadership and vision,” said Chastain. “The number of conversations around women in technology only continues to grow, and this kind of recognition puts extraordinary women across the industry on the map. Our achievements help make the future of technology one that truly harnesses all available talent and expertise."
CRN editors select the Women of the Channel honorees on the basis of their professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise and ongoing dedication to the IT channel. The female executives who comprise this annual list represent vendors, distributors, solution providers and other organizations that figure prominently in the channel ecosystem.
“These executives have made a lasting mark on our industry—growing and elevating partner programs, leading transitions to new business models and introducing cutting-edge go-to-market strategies, among other remarkable achievements.” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “We congratulate all the 2016 Women of the Channel and celebrate their singular contributions to the advancement of the channel ecosystem.”
