OPTIMIZELY TRADEMARK USAGE GUIDELINES
A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol, design, or combination thereof that identifies the source of a party’s goods or services. Unregistered or pending trademarks may bear the ™ symbol. Registered trademarks carry the ® symbol. Correct and consistent use of Optimizely’s trademarks helps protect our brand and maintain its integrity.
Optimizely’s trademarks are important intellectual property and valuable assets of the company. We appreciate your cooperation in making proper use, and avoiding improper use, of our trademarks.
Partners, Customers and all other third parties who mention Optimizely and its offerings must do so in a way that is clear and accurate, without implying a partnership or endorsement that does not exist. Trademark Symbols
Include the appropriate trademark symbol – ™ or ® – representing the trademark status. If an Optimizely trademark is registered in the country where you are using the trademark, use the ® symbol with the trademark. If the mark is unregistered or pending, or if you are uncertain of its status, use the ™ symbol. If repeated inclusion of the ™ or ® symbol is awkward or impractical, at a minimum include the correct symbol with the first or most prominent use of the trademark in each document.
Attribution. In any material that mentions an Optimizely trademark, you must include the correct attribution statement using the following format:
- [OPTIMIZELY®] is/are the trademark(s) or registered trademark(s) of Optimizely North America Inc. or its related entities.
In your attribution statement, replace the placeholder phrase “[OPTIMIZELY®]” with the specific Optimizely trademarks mentioned in your material. Place the statement either on the copyright page (such as in the case of a multi-page pamphlet) or at the end of a document (such as in an advertisement or a press release).
Correct Example of an Attribution Statement:
- OPTIMIZELY® and OPTIMIZELY COMPOSABLE COMMERCE™ are trademarks or registered trademarks of Optimizely North America Inc. or its related entities.
