Episerver Expands Asia Pacific Presence with Acquisition of Vietnam Software Development Hub
Long-Term Regional Outsourced Center Episerver Research and Development Ltd. Joins As Fully-Owned Subsidiary; Assists Episerver’s Continued Expansion and Support for APAC Region
Episerver™, a leading provider of digital marketing and digital commerce solutions, today announced acquisition of Hanoi, Vietnam-based Episerver Research and Development Ltd., bringing more .NET expertise in-house and expanding its global footprint in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
Episerver Research and Development Ltd. has operated as a fully dedicated contractor for Episerver for seven years, providing support for software quality assurance (SQA) and development for Episerver’s core products, and third party add-on solution certification program. Now, as a wholly owned subsidiary, Episerver’s Hanoi location will expand to provide service desk support to APAC as well as additional support activities to meet new and emerging customer needs.
Research and Development efforts will largely focus on Episerver’s ultra-agile Digital Experience Cloud™ platform, designed to support digital experience delivery requirements and customer engagement innovation. Episerver is continuously investing in R&D initiatives to drive these initiatives and the company’s three R&D hubs – Stockholm, Nashua, and now Hanoi – enable the company to provide focused development and support on a 24/7/365 basis.
“Episerver is invested in product-driven growth initiatives, and as such has designated R&D efforts and personnel as a key priority,” said Per Ivansson, chief technology officer and senior vice president of R&D and operations for Episerver. “With the addition of Episerver Hanoi, we are able to provide R&D and service desk support that follows the sun, helping us to better serve our partners and customers in region and globaly.”
Together with its Singapore and Sydney locations, the Hanoi hub expands the company’s APAC presence as part of Episerver’s overall strategy to enable customer growth worldwide. The Hanoi office currently houses 40 workers in SQA and development, and Episerver has plans for growth in the areas of service desk support, development and additional functions.
